Staying at Perrycroft

Perfect self-catering holiday homes in the Malvern Hills

We have three holiday cottages at Perrycroft, each with a distinctive character, all perfectly positioned to offer guests the chance to enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Malvern Hills.  The cottages are situated high on the hills, with wonderful views and splendid walking straight from the door.  Guests are also invited to spend time in the peaceful gardens at Perrycroft.

Garden Cottage is a cosy typical English country cottage, carefully furnished with a mix of the antique and modern, to provide a wonderfully relaxing environment for a holiday or short break in any season.  The Lodge is an authentic Voysey cottage lovingly restored to its original appearance and simply presented, but with all modern amenities.  The Old Stables is as the name suggests part of the original stable yard, which we have transformed into a bright and cheerful cottage and equipped in a mid-century modern style as an easy family friendly holiday home.

Our cottages are available all year round for holidays and short breaks, and we welcome well behaved dogs.

Garden Cottage

Garden Cottage

Garden Cottage was formerly the gardener’s cottage for Perrycroft.  Originally built as a quarryman’s cottage, it was bought by J.W. Wilson with the surrounding fields and coppice high up on the side of the Malvern Hills.  Here he had Perrycroft built and named after part of the woodland known as Perrycroft Coppice.  This originally Malvern stone cottage was extended by John Wilson who added the buttresses, white roughcast and small paned window casements so typical of Voysey’s designs.

A classic country cottage with modern comforts, Garden Cottage sleeps up to six people in three bedrooms with two bathrooms. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen, a cosy dining room and a lovely spacious sitting room both with wood burning stoves. There is an enclosed garden and private parking for two cars.

The Lodge

The Lodge

Designed by arts-and-crafts architect CFA Voysey and simply presented with historic architectural fittings and antique furnishings, The Lodge comfortably sleeps up to four people. The cottage has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two sitting rooms, with a spacious county kitchen and a dining room with a wood burner. There is an enclosed garden with commanding views to the British Camp, and private parking for two cars.

Recently refurbished, The Lodge has been restored to its original appearance.  Great care has been taken to interpret the architect’s vision and to preserve the authentic details. The Lodge presents an unique opportunity to stay in an unspoiled Voysey house.

The Old Stables Exterior

The Old Stables

Once part of the original stabling for Perrycroft, the Old Stables has been converted to a cheerful and homely cottage.   With three bedrooms and two bathrooms to sleep 7 people, the cottage has a sitting room and dining room and a large modern kitchen.  Mainly single storey, the cottage has an open plan feel to the living areas. Tucked away in a quiet location, there is an enclosed garden and private parking for two cars.

The cottage has been presented in a contemporary and mid-century modern style sympathetic to its early life as a stable, and will have great appeal for families with children and adult groups seeking a quiet and easy-going base from which to explore the Malvern Hills.
